[he pauses and does genuinely think about it for a moment, but:]
...I don't think so. Or at least, I can't think of a way they'd wind up in the museum and the simulation room if they fought each other. But I guess something really weird could've happened.
Oh, you know. [She takes a heavy sigh.] I'm very tired, and very sad, and very angry. I just don't know what to do with any of it, other than make sure that other people are handling it a little bit better. Not hurting themselves in some way.
[She takes his hand in both of hers, giving it a gentle pat.]
You're very sweet to check on me, Rupert. To think of other first. I hope you're managing alright? [she dips her head, catching his eye a little better with a small smile.] Not stifling any great bursts of rage, are you?

[She inhales sharply.]
...I wonder, then. Maybe they tried to help each other? Or did one... [go for the other?
It's an unpleasant thought. But not impossible. Maybe there's only one living killer left to look for, or it's two. Grim lines of thinking, both.]

[he doesn't quite follow that thought, so he gives her a confused glance, waiting to see if she'll go on.]

[she winces a little as she says it.]

[She shakes her head.]
But that's not very helpful to think about. We have to save the wild theories for tomorrow.

[more importantly:]
...How are you doing?
