[the way i finished chores and tabbed up links from plurk only...shakes
Girl is around. Let's say relaxation bay, sitting mellow. She's not happy about what all's happened today, but she's not down and out. When she sees Maya she'll wave her over.]
[ maya is at the incentives section of the duty free shop, making a face at the items. she seems annoyed, but it quickly turns into a big smile when she sees it's rosamund ]
[Coming right over, with a cup of coffee and a to-go cookie. Which she will immediately split in two and offer the other half of.] I'm just looking around! I heard there were some upgrades around the place, so I thought I'd...
Rosamund might be found in one of the public restrooms around the terminal, dabbing at tears with a paper towel. Her face is a bit red, but her eyes especially so.]
Maya? [She looks up when the other girl enters.] Oh, I'm sorry. Did you need the space in here? I can leave.
[Set after yoru-loving madness, so that we can all cope with our emotions properly. Also back-dated to Tuesday bc i wiped out last night.
Rosamund is probably sticking close to the new Terminal, getting a feel for things. Maybe they can meet on the hiking trail?]
Maya! Hello. [It's probably late so she is just letting the night fall here in the faux wilderness for fun. Also to avoid people again.] Gosh, that was embarrassing, wasn't?
[When you come looking for Rosamund to discuss the week's murders, you find a cocoon of briars with her sleeping inside. The briars appear to grow out of her body. Attempts to remove them make them coil tighter around the princess.
Rosamund isn't sure what she expected Maya's memories to look like. Not this. The immediate sight of it all sets her on edge, and once she cottons onto the crimes on trial it becomes impossible for her to hold back her outrage. Her disbelief.
Oh, certainly, there's the witches she knows, and they serve a certain purpose within the land of story. But killing them just for being witches is psychotic. Sure, there are people who think that way in the Neverafter, but she is certainly not one of them.
Watching Maya make that leap knocks the air from her chest. Watching her sink into the flame as the other girl escapes makes her blood boil.]
...How could they? [Her hands are shaking. Maybe it's the framing of it — more trials, more dicey accusations, more innocent lives on the line — but this one cuts deep.] How could they do such a thing?! Are they stupid?!
[Her head whips to Maya, mortified even through her indignation.]
Did you survive? Or...
[She wasn't from the hell or heaven games. But she wouldn't be the first person to die before being pulled to one of these games.]
[It's not even so much that she's actively avoiding people it's more just her need to get away. She'll run across Maya in the void though I won't make her do another horrible game.]
...Maya... [Taking a deep breath.] I'm...sorry. I think it was my fault.
