[wandering around the graveyard has led her to some interesting places. Such as the Rat Cultural Centre. Strange that this place draws her in.
The girl puts a hand to one of the framed photographs by famous rat photographers (ratographers). She seems preoccupied. Emotions are still largely flat but there's a flicker of something. Then a larger spark. Some sort of nostalgia?]
[ After sleeping for like eight hours straight, Aventurine has decided to stretch his legs. He wanders into the rat exhibit, bringing with him a feeling of apprehension as he steps inside.
There are bandages on his face and arms, scrapes and gashes peeking through, but other than that, he's fine. And he doesn't at all expect to run into someone at the exhibit, pausing for just a moment as his brain plays catch up. ]
He'll come up beside her to take a closer look at what she's looking at. ]
I've been here a few times this week. I can't say that I recognize any of these rats, though. [ And why would he?? He turns his gaze back to Rosamund, curiosity hanging over him. ] Why do you ask?
[ Catch Aventurine after the mini-event at Crofe, eating a crolafel (croissant falafel) with the most puzzled look on his face like he regrets this choice. ]
Um. Well I'm settling okay, I think? I'm very happy to see so many people again, especially since I didn't get much of a chance to speak with many of them while they were alive.
But also, it's really nice to meet new people like yourself. I'm a little sad there was no chance to do so sooner? I hope you weren't so lonely down here to start.
Don't worry about me. I had good company, and each week brought us several new faces to greet. Most everyone has been friendly, too. Not as many sour faces as my previous game.
Oh! [claps her hands together, delighted!] So you were with Kate and Totty and the rest! Okay, yes, I did see it, and I did see a few of the profiles from your friends over there. I know it looked a little spooky but it's also kind of homey, in a way? I like places outdoors, and really, it wasn't so different from the way the Neverafter looked for a long while?
Though I wouldn't have cared to find leeches in the bible.

She turns to look at him, impassive. Her eyes skate over his bandages. A mild spike of interest, there.]

[looks back to the picture again, thinking.]
But they're not devils. Strange...
[she lets the thought percolate a moment. Unable to grasp the hook of it. Then, without turning to look at him whatsoever:]
Tell me, how did you come to be injured?

Devils...?
[ Thinks about Yoru for a moment before the question distracts him. ]
I was whisked away on one of those far off adventures. The ones that take you to a different setting and convince you of a life that isn't yours.

[She tilts her head, wearing a face of mild empathy and giving off nothing. Her hand comes to his cheek, soft, as she speaks again.]
Don't worry. Either time or death will ease the pain.

Besides the surprise, how have you been, Miss Rosamund?
