...I think you will find, your highness, that Throné is the sort of person who appreciates kindness more than you might think. Perhaps particularly in a situation like that.
You think so? [It bolsters her some, hearing it from a man who's so close to her. Rosamund presses her hand to her heart, eyes cast away. So much of this has become so bitter, in ways that death usually isn't.] I've had to kill before. Even people I'd hoped could be my friends. But...it's different here. It's more personal when it's not a war, or a mad scramble to survive.
I guess I'm afraid of making the wrong move. I just want to help. I just don't want anyone to feel alone.
