so much for the bee movie. temenos is, funnily enough, still sort of staring in that direction, though it's clear he's not engaged in the passionate romance of a woman and a bee. rather, it's like maybe his head is still in that memory. like maybe he still sees the deputy, or the ghost of crick wellsley, a blue specter from the depths of his mind.
rosamund speaks, though, and it snaps him out of it. he glances to her - his expression is usually fairly placid, and it is here too. however, perhaps... perhaps now, it becomes quite obvious that temenos is (and has maybe always been) sad. ]
...Murdered by the very Sacred Guard he worked for. [ dead. ] I was able to track down the woman who murdered him and stop her, as well, before she killed us all in some sort of twisted vengeance plot.

[ his killer's stupid quest - where she was just being manipulated the entire time. it's so frustratingly pointless, all the death and destruction that she caused as an eye for an eye. it could almost be pathetic, if it were a story in another life, and not real people.
the apology just has him duck his head once, in acknowledgement - as usual, he's not particularly reactive, and he's going to open his mouth to say something to wave it away, even though rosamund is so sweet for the apology, but the blame part startles him? his mouth opens, and then closes. and temenos looks briefly stunned. ]
... The blame. [ it's funny. she's hit at least a part of the nail right on the head. ]

His reaction is curious. Like he's never considered it before, or if she'd slapped him across the face.]
Yes? [She ducks her head lower, all the better to catch him by the eye.] He was a good man following a lead. And from what it looks like, it wouldn't have mattered where that information was found, he would have investigated it. You didn't set him on a path to his death.
The only people responsible for that are the ones that killed him. You were his dear friend, and a confidante. He trusted you because you're worthy of that trust, Temenos. Please don't ever doubt that.
