her eyes fly open, and she flinches, looking stricken. both her hands come up to clutch at her head, and she sways on her feet, nearly losing her balance...
...and then collapsing to her knees as her body is wracked with coughs. her hands tangle in her hair as petals in hues of olive and plum spew from her mouth, and she gasps for breath between coughs, only to choke on the petals. it doesn't stop. it's not stopping. it's - ]
[The swell of energy does trip her senses. She's got enough in her to know (is made of a kind of magic herself to be frank). Rosamund watches Sheba with acute curiousity, but her eyes do drift to the flesh around them. Her bow is at the ready, arrow in hand.
Then the girl spasms.]
Sheba?!
[Then she's on her knees. Rosamund is at her side in a flash. There's so much coughing, the petals litter the ground around them in an instant. Just as quickly, Sheba's gone. Rosamund shakes her shoulders.]
Sheba! Sheba, can you hear me?
[She puts her hands to her head and casts Cure Wounds.
Nothing happens.]
Shit.
[All right. She's still breathing, she can see that, and her pulse feels fine beneath her fingers. Rosamund works the girl over her back into a limp piggyback carry. She hefts her by the legs with an indelicate huff, then flees the cave.
They'll catch hell for this for sure. Or she will — should Sheba fail to wake again.]
[if rosamund catches hell for this from anyone sheba will give THEM hell because rosamund was responsible and made sure sheba didn't do this solo!! imagine how much worse it would have been if she'd just passed out and got stuck here alone.]
