Trust me, the feeling is mutual. I've been pretty good—you know, dealing with the usual crap life throws at our way, but that's never stopped me before. What about you? It's been, like, shit—close to a year since everything on the Eudora for me? Where did you end up going after all that?

Well, I did go back home. And I got some things taken care of. [Gestures cheekily to where here briars used to horrifically sprout out of her body.] It's both been much longer than a year, and also much shorter than one. So to speak. Things are confusing, magic stuff. You know.

But I'm all right! And I actually remember. Totty and Kazuki, though...
[ yeah, he doesn't even flinch when she waves her hand. timey-wimey bullshit! it's a thing! but when she mentions totty and kazuki... ]
Oh, you ran into 'em too, huh? Todo-chan remembered me, but... not me me. [ he frowns. ] There were a couple of other people who seemed to know me, too, but of course, I have no clue who they are. Guess other me got around a little bit.
Oh, yeah. Isn't that terrible? And you two were such good friends. I'm sorry, Ichiban. I don't know what's going on but maybe it's like...a sort of alternate Totty. And Kazuki. Maybe they're different versions of the ones we met. Or just ones from times before we met? These things can get awfully confusing.
Who else knew you? I don't think anyone outside of you, Mizuki, and Artemy knew who I was at all.
Kate! [Brightens at once.] Yes, I've met her! For the first time of course, she didn't know me either, but she seems lovely.
And true, yes. I said as much to Totty myself. I hope it's not going to be a sort of...like it's too weird to let us all be close again. Or maybe they've been through something terrible that changed them, in ways we don't know about yet? I don't know.

I might be thinking about it a little too much. But things worked that way back where I came from. Different versions of people, things going horribly wrong between lives and worlds. It makes you a bit paranoid, that's all.
