[What is a simulation? Rosamund must have messed something up, because as much as she had wanted a little greenery around here she did not want to instantly choke the place with a billion thorns. Again.
Rosamund wheezes when she hears the door open, cornered within the thicket and unable to see the interloper.]
[Unfortunately for sweet Rosamund, the doors open too quickly around here for him to listen... damn maybe they should get some Do Not Disturb signs in case people decide to be naughty in here.
But since he's already here, he steps forward, immediately on alert.]
For once they can meet under better circumstances--at least for now, given her whole. Thorn situation. And feelings share--BUT ANYWAY FOR NOW!!! Forget all of that because, wherever Rosamund is, she will see... a little Myna bird!!! It chirps at her. Hewwo!]
Hello! Oh my goodness, how have I not seen you before? [The speed with which she is endeared to the bird is beyond what human science can measure. Aminal. Give!
She holds her finger up to perch and leans hard into the stereotype.]
No really they're going shopping in this liminal space. Rosamund pulls a face at the weird lighting and eerily silent aisles and edges slightly closer to Luke.]
I'm no expert on how things are supposed to look in the era of space travel, but nearly every place down here has a sort of haunted quality. Doesn't it?
The rats I can handle, it's the weird emptiness that spooks me.
[She's from a horror canon. If the source of the bad vibes cannot be perceived then it is less likely to be withstood. You have much to learn from her.
She plucks the fridge open and peers at the packaging.]
It's so strange, how these places only appear to us every Monday. But it's a bit exciting at the same time, isn't it? I wonder what this one will be?
[Rosamund opens the door to The Loose Caboose and is immediately greeted with rats sensually scurrying up stripper poles and dangling from the ceiling. Other rats are drinking and squeaking lasciviously. The music thumps loud and a distinct funk wafts over both of their faces.]
Though it can't be directly after revival either, because Luke... cannot be found! Only for a couple of hours, though, while he's busy working through his trauma. He will not seek her out, but if she wants to track him down, she can find him tucked away in the library with a book, though he isn't reading it and is just kind of staring blankly at nothing, lost in thought.]
For now, he doesn't look over until she calls his name--but at least the sight of her seems to bring him back to the present, and he sits up, smiling slightly.]
[At the Bootanical Gardens today. There's been a lot of fussing and speculation about what this could all mean, and Rosamund is feeling all conspiracied out. Luke finds her with her bare feet dangling in a koi pond. She runs a leaf over the surface of the water and the fish are giving chase.]
[Unfortunately Luke is among those being fussy and speculative, not in the least because he's still under the effects of his CYOA now and then--but right now, at least, he seems calm and normal. He gives her a small smile as he approaches, coming to sit near her.
He can tell her mood is mellower than usual, so he keeps his own demeanor calm and gentle.]
Did you have fun teaching Margaret to sew yesterday?
[SWEET ROSAMUND!!! Gently places them on the ship for now... he's not exactly settled here, all things considered, but at least he's not on 100% high alert like he is planetside. They can be somewhere uncursed, like the arcade!! He actually looks pretty happy to be in here.]
Do you want to learn to play some games, Rosamund?
Luke will come find her eventually!! He has a warm cup of tea for each of them, and he'll hand it over, assuming she's not passed out on the floor or something.]
[She's been helping clear detritus for ages, this tea is so very welcome. She claps her hands free of dirt (assigns her on park duty) and reaches up with clear gratitude.]
Oh, pssht. It's no trouble at all. I'm hardly a healer, I just know a few things that help with being out in the woods.
[Sometimes you must learn by force.]
You seem much better now? Also thank you, this is lovely. But, seriously, it's not giving you any aches?

If you try anything, you'll get tangled in the thorns. Wait right there!

Peanut is pretty friendly, but he's too well-trained; he doesn't jump up on her finger, but he does chirp back in response, mimicking her singing!!
Fortunately, she won't be left hanging for too long; Luke rounds the corner with a muffin in his mouth, wearing a different outfit from before.]
Oh, hey! [MUFFLED AROUND THE MUFFIN but he at least takes it out of his mouth.] I see you've met Peanut!
