I wish I could have convinced her. We were in a pretty precarious position though, in her castle with so many of her allies. And...we had what she needed to pull it off. A magic book, and me. A seventh princess. She only ever saw her plans succeeding with seven, altogether.
We had to fight later on, after she found a replacement for me. She might have killed me first, but I came back and took her out before she could finish casting her spell.
We're all alive again now. In a better world, a freer one. [There's a heavy pang of empathy, too deep to be mere pity.] The kind she thought was no longer possible.
...Yeah. [She huffs, shrugging.] Ylfa is one of my closest friends, and she was part of our party. Trying to find a way to fix the things that had gone wrong, for all of us.

But I'm going to fight for her anyway. If I'm able, I want to help her see a world where she's free to make her own choices, too.

I get it. It's very hard to stand on the side here and know so many people you care about are going home to impossible situations.
But...I think, if I do get the chance, I want to help her reach her own new story. Though there might already be a Rosamund along with her in there? It might mess things up if we're two different versions of the same person in the same place at the same time? I don't know — the way things work in our world is just so strange.
