[Having taken a post at the bar with a tidy cup of tea, Rosamund fishes out the "radio" from her pack and sets to studying it once again. By now she's worked out that it makes music (the likes of which she's never imagined), but with all the wonders it works she can't help thinking there may be something more to the little red box.
Discreetly as possible, she presses a few buttons, turns a dial.
🎶I WANT SOOOOMETHIN' EEEEELSE...TO GET ME THROUGH THIS SEMI-CHARMED KINDA-LIFE! BAY-BY, BAY-BY—
She gasps and fumbles the thing, losing it to the other side of the bar.]
[ well. baiken has been drinking for what feels like 24 hours straight, so the sudden loud noise is an unwelcome interruption. as it doesn't resolve itself in the matter of one second, she gets up, huffily striding over to growl at rosamund: ]
You. Woman. Turn off your noise machine before I do it for you.
well her massive thighs are good for something, as she hops over the bar no problem and gets all up in rosamund's space. ]
Outta my way. [ she is going to push the poor woman with her foot if she doesn't move it, thorns be damned (if. they are still there. i am not canon familiar). by using the shealth of her katana, she can retrieve the terrible noise box from under the counter, and uh
punt that thing as far as it'll go. she has a pretty dramatic kick. i am sorry. ]
[Such shock on her face. Which soon drips away to a furrowed brow, an open gape of indignity. She doesn't think anyone's ever taken such a tone with her before. Who is this woman?]
I made a simple mistake. And for that you tried to kick me, and then you destroyed one of my things? [She shakes her head, beyond incredulous.] I don't even know who you are.
[Okay getting the sense that this may be an unstoppable force and immovable object situation. Rosamund inhales thinly and tries again.]
Look, I don't have things like that where I come from. Actually, none of this is familiar to me. I just wanted a closer look and a nice cup of tea. I'm very sorry it disturbed you.
[ baiken is not a person who does much pondering or consideration, nor is she very eloquent. the words land, and it does seem to take a little aggression out of her voice but... only a little. ]
Not to places like these. [She purses her lips.] Ships are supposed to be made of wood and sail in water. I truly don't now how we're moving through anything right now.

[Desperately crawling over the bar, where did it fall to? This is so embarrassing, help help help
She peers over the other side. To her horror it's slid beneath the other counter.]

Then she takes another mortified step back as her poor radio is roundhouse kicked into orbit.]
What have you — Why?!
That wasn't necessary at all!

Your mistake doesn't affect just you. Better that thing [ the long gone radio ] than you causing a real problem when the stakes matter.

There's ships that sail in the sky now, too. This isn't the only one.
