It would be a waste of those profiles to not look through them. But we could always pretend things are normal and that I haven't seen it.
[ not the first person she's played that game with. ]
You're not interrupting. There's nothing to interrupt. [ there's a vague restlessness just radiating off of her, but she makes a little 'go ahead' gesture as rosamund sits. ] Yeah? I've talked to the kid.
No no no, it's better to have it all aired out I think. A few less secrets to keep, not that I've got many.
[Just don't call her an open book.]
He's such a nice boy, isn't he? [She nods, as if to answer herself.] But anyway, we were speaking about any possibilities of leaving the ship. I've never...sssssailed?
[She mulls that one over for a second.]
I've never sailed through the sky before, and he said it might be wise to look for a captain with real experience before planning too far ahead. Then he mentioned you, and I read your profile, and you sound so very capable! I was impressed.
He's... a kid. [ neutral. lovelace doesn't interact with kids much... but, a smile at that, and at the compliment. ]
I'm sure everyone here's capable in their own ways. Probably. For the record, I don't think escaping this ship is realistic. Not unless there's another ship for us to take, and without knowing my way around here, I wouldn't assume.
Taking over the ship, though... [ is what she thinks is a more realistic way of choosing where they go and getting people home. ]
[ lovelace will also lower her voice to talk a little more conspiratorially... ]
With all of us coming from different worlds and how big all of space is, I don't know if splitting off into smaller crews is going to help all of us. I wouldn't stop anyone who wanted to go off on their own, but I wouldn't count on them getting anything done for the rest of us once they're gone, either.

[Not a sentence she's totally happy to hear, but she's had plenty of time to get used to it.
She assumes the seat next to her, sitting primly with her hands folded in her lap.]
Forgive the interruption, but we share a mutual friend! Kazuki? He mentioned you to me.

Also taking notes on that absolute neutral reaction to Kazuki.]
Honestly? You are speaking my language.
[Rosamund scoots a little closer, speaks a little lower.]
My thoughts were that if there is such a ship, or we dock at a port somewhere, that we might send a small crew off first to send for help.
Ideally I'd like to take everyone, but Kazuki said these escape boats are pretty small. So we would have to be careful about selecting a crew.
